Committed to excellence: Keppel Seghers winning bid
Keppel Seghers has been awarded a contract by Grenoble Alpes Metropole, acting as coordinator for the consortium of seven groups of municipalities in the Sud Isère region, representing a total population of 730,000, to design and build the Process lot for the construction of a new waste to energy plant (WtE) at the Athanor site in La Tronche.
In this new WtE, Keppel Seghers will design, supply, install and commission 2 complete WtE lines with a capacity of 82500 tons per year of non-recyclable waste.
The Keppel Seghers’ solution chosen by Grenoble Alpes is optimal, efficient and forward-looking. This solution will enable the Metropole to make the most of its non-recyclable waste by supplying its district heating networks in a sustainable way, as well as producing a maximum amount of green electricity with minimal emission within the strictest standards.
Keppel Seghers will put all its know-how, expertise and best technologies to work to make this new project a success for the Grenoble Alpes Metropole.
The new Athanor WtE plant is being designed by the project management consortium BG-WSP, ARTELIA, TBF, AIA, with a focus on environmental and social responsibility.
